Seth Knievel

Communications INTERN

As CPEX’s Communications Intern, Seth assists the communications staff with social media, planning the next annual Louisiana Smart Growth Summit, and other projects, events, and outreach activities. Seth loves getting involved in the local community and focuses his engagement on the intersections of performance, public health, and regional history. In his Master’s thesis in Communication and Rhetorical Studies, Seth wrote about how LGBTQ communities managed health risks throughout the HIV/AIDS and COVID-19 pandemics and posited new ways of engaging the community in the face of ongoing public health crises.  

Seth is an alumnus of both the University of North Texas and Syracuse University. Currently, Seth is a PhD student at Louisiana State University where he studies communication with a focus on performance and history. He enjoys running, vintage photography, and restoring antique clocks and typewriters in his spare time.
