Yasamin Asgari

Project manager

Yasamin Asgari is a project manager for the PowerUp Louisiana initiative and is responsible for the implementation and management of the project. She joined CPEX at the beginning of 2024.

 Yasamin has over 10 years of experience in the energy industry, from working offshore in the Gulf of Mexico to working in boutique oil and gas companies and private equity. In January of 2020, she decided to change course and dedicate her career to fighting climate change. Since then, she has worked with carbon accounting start-ups, development and implementation of Environmental,  Social & Governance (ESG) methodology, and sustainability reporting for LifeCity.  Additionally, Yasamin participated in Glasgow’s largest international Chamber of Commerce gathering at COP26. Yasamin received her Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Missouri Science & Technology. She believes in long-term sustainable solutions and educating communities on the benefits of sustainable living. She is originally from Iran, born and raised with an American mom from upstate New York.

Fun Facts: Yasamin’s nickname is Yassi and she always catches a live jazz show in New Orleans when she has free time. She loves all types of skiing, travel, and trying exotic food.
