Our theory for change.

Change doesn't happen overnight.

But, over the long term, if we continue to educate and
equip communities — both rural and urban — with planning
tools and resources, we can create a more innovative,
resilient and livable Louisiana.

When planning is prioritized:

Vulnerable communities are strengthened as access to opportunity increases.

Louisiana’s economic competitiveness is enhanced when well-designed communities and regional connectivity attract new businesses.

Communities are better equipped to both preserve and capitalize on their natural resources and assets.

Public health improves as people enjoy more opportunities for physical activity and safer streets exist for pedestrians and bicyclists.

The multitude of unique places, cultural traditions, and vast natural resources are preserved and leveraged to encourage a better quality of life in Louisiana.
